About Me
Originally from Eastern Kentucky, I have lived in Lancaster, KY since 1999. My passion for fishing was ignited at an early age by my dad and uncles. I grew up fishing on Norris Lake in Tennessee and spent every moment as a kid fishing. My love for tournament fishing began in 2001. I’ve been very blessed and fortunate enough to qualify for the BFL All-American two years in a row, with a second place finish in 2007. I have qualified for all of FLW’s major championships: the Forrest Wood Cup and the Toyota Championship. I’ve also qualified for the Fishers of Men’s National Championship and represented Kentucky as a member of the Federation Nation and Federation state team. These experiences have filled me with a passion for fishing and a desire to learn more and share that knowledge with others through bass fishing classes and fishing tutorials. I am a long-time member of the pro-staffs of Ranger boats, Pittsburg Marine, Mercury, Lowrance, and Power Pole. I’ve been a pro-staff member of Lowrance Electronics for many years. This opportunity has allowed me to gain a much deeper knowledge and detailed understanding of their electronics. This has ignited a quest for an even greater understanding and a desire to share with others how it is revolutionizing fishing, how we find, navigate, and dominate fishing. The purpose of this website, Mike Williams Fishing, is to share my experience with others in an effort to assist them in enjoying the sport of fishing more and being successful in their endeavors.
